For decades, the Woodford County Woman's Club has been a beacon of compassion in our community. We recognized a critical need among local school children: some students in Woodford County lacked essential winter clothing, such as warm coats and sturdy shoes, to protect them from harsh winter weather. We launched a heartfelt initiative to address this need, partnering closely with the Woodford County Public Schools to ensure no child goes without.
Today, our program proudly supports approximately 175 students each year, providing them with high-quality coats and shoes to keep them warm, comfortable, and ready to focus on their education. This effort is about more than just clothing — it's about fostering dignity, confidence, and opportunity for every child we serve.
Through the generosity of our community and the tireless work of our volunteers, the Woodford County Woman's Club continues to make a lasting impact, wrapping our students in warmth and care, one coat and pair of shoes at a time.
