Scholarship Committee

Proposed minimum number of members – 3

Committee Duties:

• Determine the criteria for the academic and technical scholarships.
• Work with Woodford County High School to promote the scholarships and answer any questions regarding applications and awards.
• Promote the scholarships by placing flyers in the community, advertisements in the Woodford Sun, communications with local technical schools, etc.
• Form a scholarship review subcommittee, if needed, to help with review of the applications.
• Review all scholarship applications with the subcommittee and select recipients.
• Identify point of contact at each relevant institution for proper submission of payments.
• Ensure all proper documentation is received from and submitted to the institutions recipients will be attending.
• Ensure payment is made as needed each semester to the respective institutions.

This committee will work closely with the Publicity Committee and the Budget and Finance Committee.
